Fat and sassy Mo’Nique (Domino, Hair Show, Soul Plane) stars as Jazmin Biltmore, a horny big girl with a dream to set her people—ladies who are large and in charge—free from fashion hell if she can get a chance to show off her designs. Years of abuse at the hands of “skinny bitches” promises to pay off in an ignorant low-rent laff-riot—not that there’s anything wrong with that—but the flick shifts gears and slows down into a love story—yeah, yeah, not that there’s anything wrong with that—when Jazmin, who’s got some self-esteem issues, is courted by a hot guy from Nigeria who likes his ladies on the thick side, so what we end up with is some laughs, some tears, some romance, and a lot of respect to Mo’Nique for pulling it all off, but basically a buffet with not enough of any one item.
