Bill Murray (Broken Flowers, Lost in Translation) slurps some sweet Hollywood cream in his return as the voice of America’s favorite fat hungry pussy in a safe second helping of what could prove to be a mild long-term entertainment buffet providing around an hour-20 of kiddie diversion career-neutral cashflow enhancement for actors the likes of Bob Hoskins (Mona Lisa, Mrs. Henderson Presents), Lucy Davis (BBC’s The Office), and Billy Connolly (Mrs. Brown, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events), in a scenario placing the gluttonous computer-animated Garfield in England as an unwitting pawn in a live-action inheritance dispute complicated by the presence of large twin kitties. Speaking of twins, Jennifer Love Hewitt (television’s Ghost Whisperer) is again on hand to keep adult fans awake for a few well-placed above the waist shakes, rated PG.
