The five wise guys that make up the fun house that is Broken Lizard (Puddle Cruiser, Super Troopers, and Club Dread) present their latest and freaking funniest, Beerfest, in which brothers Jan and Todd Wolfhouse (Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske) travel to Munich to spread their grandfather’s ashes at Oktoberfest but end up in Beerfest, where countries compete in serious Quarters, Asshole, speed-drinking, etc. Long-lost, crazy German cousins ruin the fun and there’s something about a beer recipe, and the bros can’t win the intense drinking games because, hello, it’s Munich, not Colorado, and they never even knew they had family who, frankly, are mean. So they go back home to rebuild their group of drinking buddies, including man-whore Barry Badrinath (Jay Chandrasekhar), sexy scientist Steve "Fink" Finklestein (Steve Lemme), and cubby Landfill (Kevin Heffernan), and transform themselves into beer competitors to win bragging rights and something about a beer recipe, and to make the asshole cousins quit shit-talking Great Gam Gam (played by the great dirty bird Cloris Leachman). Watching the team train in the beer arts is truly inspiring and you’ll want a nice cold one, maybe even out of Das Boot, by the funny closing credits.
