Eastwood! Savalas! Rickles! The combat-caper blueprint for Three Kings. OK, maybe It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World is the blueprint for this one, but Three Kings is still derivative, see? A kooky-crazy platoon of U.S. Army losers stops fighting WWII The Big One when they find out about a fortune in Nazi gold. Big shiny bars of gold, man! Donald Sutherland, as Oddball, spits out classic 1940s-style dialogue like "Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?" A half-assed tank battle ensues, featuring the great Karl Otto Alberty, checking in as the Nazi Tank Commander. What the hell else could this guy ever be?
