50 First Dates

50 First Dates

Director:Peter Segal
Cast:Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, Rob Schneider
Genre:Film, Comedy

By Joe MacLeod | Posted

Regular-guy Adam Sandler and cute-for-life Drew Barrymore reunite in this mildly amusing romantical comedy, but this time it's not hard for boy to meet girl, it's just that girl got bonked on the head and can never remember boy, no matter how many times they click and no matter how memorable their date was, wink, wink. The idyllic Hawaiian location adds to the agreeableness of this PG-13 flick, as Sandler keeps that annoying baby-talk/funny-voice thing he does to a minimum. Also starring Spam luncheon meat (Hawaii being the U.S. state with highest per-capita consumption) and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Cheap laffs provided by Rob Schneider, apparently employing some sort of ethnic Hawaiian accent, plus a walrus, a penguin, an aluminum baseball bat, and some fake vomit.
