A lazily overdubbed and enervating Japanimated cartoon commercial reinforcement of the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards, TV program, and whatever the fuck else they’re trying to sell. Wholesome gameboy Yugi, his friends, and a few of his playtime enemies are sucked into a card battle by the malevolent, interdimensional, and generally grouchy Anubis (Evil Arab stereotyping has spread to ancient deities), who wants to run things, but first he has to play this stupid card game, see? Children age 7 and older will likely go into an immediate 90-minute beta-state TV coma (which ain’t always a bad thing), while little ones may end up with nightmares after viewing violence involving evil zombie-mummies being ripped into pieces and the exploits of monsters with names such as “Blue-Eyes White Dragon” and “Injection Fairy.”
