R.I.P. Pimp C

By Michael Byrne | Posted 11/28/2007

Pimp_c Word just came in that UGK rapper Pimp C was found dead this morning in a Los Angeles hotel room. He was 33. This comes just months after the legendary Southern rap group—nay, Southern rap forebearer—released its album Underground Kingz after a five year lull, spawning the group’s first Billboard #1, “Intl' Players Anthem.” Prior to that, Pimp C was noted most often for his appearance on Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin’,” and work with a host of others, including Three 6 Mafia, Celly Cel, and Devin the Dude.
