Murders This Year: 206

There was one murder in Baltimore City this week. This is only the second time since this column started in July 2004 that there has been just a single homicide in a week. This year the city has averaged five murders per week.

The man who was stabbed to death Sept. 24 in the 2300 block of Druid Heights Avenue has been identified as Anthony McCray, a 33-year-old African-American man from the Madison Park neighborhood.

Friday, Sept. 30
