Due to holiday deadlines, this week’s column covers homicides from Friday, Dec. 21, through Thursday, Dec. 27.

The man shot to death in the 2300 block of Atlantic Avenue on Dec. 20 has been identified as Michael Weathers, a 19-year-old African-American man. He is the 53rd person under the age of 20 murdered this year in Baltimore City.

Friday, Dec. 21

8:22 p.m. Jason Allen, a 25-year-old African-American man, was found lying in the street in the 2300 block of Druid Hill Avenue, at North Avenue. He had been standing in the middle of the street and was walking between cars when someone came up to him and shot him repeatedly in the head and body. He tried to run but collapsed. Allen died at the scene. He is the second person to be murdered in this block this year.

Monday, Dec. 24

1:46 a.m. Toby MacCombie, a 30-year-old African-American man, was found dead in front of the entrance to an apartment in the 6600 block of Vincent Lane near Reisterstown Road Plaza. He had been shot in the head.

7:30 p.m. On Christmas Eve, police found William Harper, a 36-year-old African-American man, in the 2400 block of Reisterstown Road near Mondawmin Mall. He had been shot several times and died at Sinai Hospital less than an hour later.

Wednesday, Dec. 26

12:20 p.m. Kevin Bacon, a 46-year-old African-American man, was shot numerous times in the 1700 block of North Dallas Court in East Baltimore’s Oliver neighborhood. He died at Johns Hopkins Hospital 20 minutes later. He is the second person murdered in this block this year.
