Tuesday, April 20
10:54 p.m. Plainclothes officers from the Violent Crimes Impact Squad were in the 1800 block of North Fulton Avenue in Sandtown-Winchester. There was a disturbance in the street, and the officers saw a man raise his right arm and shoot Kevin Hyslop, a 33-year-old African-American man, in the chest at close range. The officers told the gunman to drop his weapon. He saw the police and ran. Officers providing back up arrested Calvin Williams, a 33-year-old African-American man, a few blocks away. He has been charged with the murder.
Sunday, April 25
2:33 a.m. Ramie Mays, an 18-year-old African-American man, was shot in the head and face in the 4800 block of Liberty Heights Avenue in Northwest Baltimore. When help arrived he was still conscious, but his condition deteriorated. Mays died at a local hospital at 6:45 p.m.

The man found shot to death in a car in the 3700 block of Lewiston Avenue on April 18 has been identified as Sean Johnson, a 40-year-old African-American man.
Travis Green, a 23-year-old African-American man, was arrested on April 15 for the murder of Rodney Stephens, a 38-year-old African-American man. Stephens was shot repeatedly in the 1200 block of Bentalou Street on Feb. 7.
On April 22, police arrested Troy Taylor, an 18-year-old African-American man, and Michael Hunter, a 19-year-old African-American man, for the murder of Charles Bowman, a 72-year-old African-American man. Bowman was shot to death on April 8 at a Chinese food carry-out at Greenmount Avenue and 29th Street near the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus. Bowman stopped at the restaurant of his way home from his job as a security guard, according to The Baltimore Sun.
