Correction: In last week's Mobtown Beat story on the legal troubles of former state delegate Billy Madonna, we mistakenly referred to Anthony Cianferano as "deceased." He is, in fact, very much alive. City Paper regrets the error.

Editor's note: On Wednesday, May 26, the 11 finalists in City Paper's second annual Shoot. Score. Baltimore. short-film contest screened at the Creative Alliance at the Patterson. This year's judging panel--Maryland Film Festival Programming Director (and erstwhile CP contributor) Eric Allen Hatch, artist/filmmaker/MICA instructor Karen Yasinsky, and CP film critic and columnist Joe "Mr. Wrong" MacLeod--awarded the $500 Grand Prize to Nick Clasing's film "Freeland, MD." Brandon Marsh's film "Closure" won honorable mention. The Audience Favorite award (and $250) went to Jeremy Tan's film "Who Is Brian Richards?" You can watch the winners and all of the other finalists online at Special thanks to Jason Willett and Kristen Anchor and the staff and volunteers of the Creative Alliance.
