It’s 7:30 in the evening on Jan. 11, and the Nose is walking west on West Baltimore Street, across Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. At the intersection of Fremont Avenue and West Baltimore, in the shadows of the UMB BioPark’s first, nearly completed building, sits the Silver Moon Restaurant. In the restaurant sit two cops, their patrol car (No. 062, Mr. Shift Commander) parked outside. They are playing video games, in West Baltimore, during their shift. ’Nuf said.
