Oliver's Anniversary Best Bitter

What, you thought the Brewer's Art made the only local draft beers worth lauding? Guess again, bub. Oliver's Best Bitter has been a standout for years: hand pumped, open fermented, dry, and not too hoppy. But get this: The Anniversary Best Bitter is even better. True, it comes from a pressurized keg, so it doesn't have that ancient English thing going on, but it is absolutely delicious, with about 4.3 percent alcohol, medium body, and a good mix of malt and hops. It's served cold, too, which beer snobs might sniff at, but we find it highly satisfying without being all overboard on the beer-crafting shtick.
