Plenty of restaurants have a few table set up outside in warm weather, but here are some of the sweetest spots to dine in the open air.

Arcos, 129 S. Broadway, (410) 522-4777, arcosrestaurante.com. This Mexican restaurant has a lovely courtyard for al fresco dining.

Ambassador, 3811 Canterbury Road, (410) 235-2730, ambassadordiningroom.com. The garden seating outdoors makes this the most romantic Indian restaurant in town.

B, 1501 Bolton St., (410) 383-8600, b-bistro.com. The backdrop of Bolton Hill's historic architecture and tree-lined streets makes diners feel like they have gone back in time.

Bay Café, 2809 Boston St., # 439, (410) 522-3377, baycafeusa.com. Straightforward American fare; outstanding water view.

Belvedere Square, 500 block of Belvedere Avenue, (410) 464-9773, belvederesquare.com. Just about every restaurant on the square has outdoor dining, from Crush, Ryan's Daughter, and Grand Cru to the market itself with Neopol and Atwater's among many others, and the spot is surprisingly tranquil for being just steps from York Road.

bicycle, 1444 Light St., (410) 234-1900, bicyclebistro.com. Eclectic food in a lovely back garden area.

Black Olive, 814 S. Bond St., (410) 276-7141, theblackolive.com. Pretty courtyard makes you feel like you're in Greece, not just sampling its cuisine.

Bo Brooks, 2701 Boston St., (410) 558-0202, bobrooks.com. Crabs on the water: doesn't get more Baltimore summer than that.

Canton Dockside, 3301 Boston St., suite 102, (410) 276-8900, cantondockside.com. See above.

Captain James Landing, 2127 Boston St., (410) 327-8600, captainjameslanding.com. Ditto, plus big boat.

City Café, 1001 Cathedral St., (410) 539-4252, citycafebaltimore.com. The outdoor seating isn't special in and of itself but the people watching is killer

Donna's of Cross Keys, 5100 Falls Road, (410) 532-7611, donnas.com. All the Donna's have outdoor seating but the patio at the Cross Keys location is a step above the usual sidewalk tables.

DuClaw, 901 S. Bond St., (410) 563-3400, duclaw.com. Outdoor seating at this Fells Point brew pub overlooks a nice green space as well as the water.

Feast, 4 E. Madison St., (410) 605-2020, 4eastmadisoninn.com. This intimate restaurant has a lovely garden to match the Old World-feeling interior.

Gertrude's, 10 Art Museum Drive, (410) 889-3399, artbma.org/dine.html John Shields' regional cuisine goes down great in the Sculpture Garden at the Baltimore Museum of Art.

Harborplace, 200 E. Pratt St., (410) 332-4191, harborplace.com. The Harborplace pavilions are chock-full of restaurants that look out on the water and the tourists milling about in front of it.

Joe Squared, 133 W. North Ave., (410) 545-0444, joesquared.com. North Avenue and Howard Street might not be the most picturesque corner but the people watching is worth the exhaust fumes.

Kali's Court, 1606 Thames St., (410) 276-4700, kaliscourt.com. The front courtyard dining area is simply lovely at this Mediterranean restaurant.

Little Havana, 1325 Key Hwy., (410) 837-9903, littlehavanas.com. big deck by the water between Federal Hill and Locust Point.

L.P. Steamer's, 1100 E. Fort Ave., (410) 576-9294, lpsteamers.com. Great crabs, laid-back atmosphere, and sweet rooftop deck.

Mount Washington Village, 1600 block of Sulgrave Avenue, mountwashingtonvillage.com. Ethel and Ramone's, Crepe du Jour, and Desert Café all have outdoor seating on their front porches.

Namani Café, 907 S. Ann St., (410) 327-9400. Excellent sushi right off the water and cobblestones of Fells Point.

Nick's Fish House, 2600 Insulator Drive, (410) 347-4123, nicksfishhouse.com. It's a bit out of the way, but the deck offers a nice water view.

Power Plant Live!, 34 Market Place, (410) 727-5483, powerplantlive.com. Many of the restaurants in and around this nightclub area offer outdoor seating. The view isn't much, but this is another spot that offers killer people watching.

Suzi Soba's in Hampden, 1009 W. 36th St., (410) 243-0051. The charming outdoor dining area in the back is a welcome respite from the action on the Avenue.

Tabrizi's, 500 Harborview Drive, (443) 708-4604, tabrizis.com. Upscale Middle Eastern cuisine overlooking other people's boats.

Tapas Teatro, 1711 N. Charles St., (410) 332-0110, tapasteatro.com. Sidewalk dining on Charles Street that somehow manages to feel sophisticated.

Three, 2901 E. Baltimore St., (410) 327-3333, threebythepark.com. Inventive food looking out on Patterson Park.

Wine Market, 921 E. Fort Ave., (410) 244-6166, the-wine-market.com. The patio at this Locust Point spot is ideal for sipping your favorite vintage.
