Ports America New Year's Eve Spectacular Rockin' New Year's Eve Extravaganza, 6:45 p.m.-1 a.m. Dec. 31, Ram's Head On Stage, 33 West St., Annapolis, (410) 268-4545, am-fm.org, $109. Rock in the New Year and rock out the old with Deanna Bogart.

Return of the Cosmic New Year with Dark Star Orchestra, 7 p.m. Dec. 31, Ram's Head Live, 20 Market Place, (410) 244-8854, ramsheadlive.com, $99, $49 advance. Ring in a new year by celebrating and paying honor to years past with DSO, which pays homage to the Grateful Dead. It's groovy to re-live the past while welcoming the future.

An Evening with Little Feat, 8 p.m. Dec. 31, Recher Theatre, 512 York Road, (410) 337-7178, rechertheatre.com, $60. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect to ring in 2KX with Little Feat. This group takes an annual trip to Jamaica with its fans, so here's hoping the group brings the warm, tropical atmosphere to the cold, gray York Road.

Hooray for Hollywood, 8 p.m. Dec. 31, Weinberg Center for the Arts, 20 W. Patrick St., Frederick, (301) 600-2835, weinbergcenter.org, $150, advance $125. Ring in the New Year in the style of Old Hollywood at this black-tie benefit.

Black Cat New Year's Eve Ball, 8 p.m. Dec. 31, Black Cat, 1811 14th St. NW, Washington, (202) 667-4490, blackcatdc.com, $25. Peaches O'Dell classes up the Cat with her orchestra, performing classic novelties and outrageous standards from the late '20s through the '50s.

Ports America New Year's Eve Spectacular, 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Dec. 31, downtown Baltimore, 217 N. Charles St., promotionandarts.com, free. The crowded Inner Harbor, fireworks over the water, live music, and a countdown by Mayor Shelia Dixon make the hassle of parking worth it. Or! Take the light rail.

Big Night Baltimore, 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Dec. 31. Sheraton Baltimore City Center, 101 W. Fayette St., (410) 752-1100, bignightbaltimore.com, $99.99, VIP $159.99. You must be 21-or-over to party with the big kids at this celebration, featuring live music from Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Hotspur, and Scott's New Band, plus DJs Yummy, Hangman, and Retroactive.

New Year's Eve!!!, 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Dec. 31, Ottobar, 2549 N. Howard St., (410) 662-0069, theottobar.com, $13, $20 for couples. Swill free Champagne and eats with J. Roddy Walston and the Business, the Egg Babies, Young Sir Jim, and Hollywood. Happy New Year Baltimore!
