Ring in a new year by celebrating and paying honor to years past with DSO, which pays homage to the Grateful Dead. It's groovy to re-live the past while welcoming the future.

An Evening with Little Feat, 8 p.m. Dec. 31, Recher Theatre, 512 York Road, (410) 337-7178, rechertheatre.com, $60. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect to ring in 2KX with Little Feat. This group takes an annual trip to Jamaica with its fans, so here's hoping the group brings the warm, tropical atmosphere to the cold, gray York Road.

The crowded Inner Harbor, fireworks over the water, live music, and a countdown by Mayor Shelia Dixon make the hassle of parking worth it. Or! Take the light rail.

You must be 21-or-over to party with the big kids at this celebration, featuring live music from Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Hotspur, and Scott's New Band, plus DJs Yummy, Hangman, and Retroactive.
