Baltimore City's public pools were put in the crosshairs of the budget crunch this year, but the Department of Recreation and Parks' Aquatics Division has high hopes that all the pools will open again this summer, though at press time a final budget for the program had not been reached. The city's public pools are a sweet deal--$1 per visit for indoor and recreation center pools ($10 for an all-you-can-swim season pass), $1.50 per visit for park pools ($25 season pass), kids under 3 are free at all pools--so grab your bathing suit and show city officials that in a city this hot and humid, public pools are a necessity. The Big Splash kicks off the swim season June 26 at Roosevelt Park, and the season ends Aug. 8. Hours vary.
