Gotta love it when July 4 falls on a weekend--for those who really dig the Independence Day merrymaking, it means you can party, parade, and watch things explode two days in a row. Around the Baltimore/D.C. metro region, you'll find patriotic displays in the form of neighborhood parades, kid-friendly festivals, classical concerts under the stars--oh yeah, and fireworks. Lots and lots of fireworks will be making ears ring, eyes glaze, and noses burn with the sweet, sweet scent of sulfur and gunpowder all weekend long. Check the list below for an event near you, and don't forget to doublecheck the date: Some events are happening Saturday, July 3, others on Sunday, July 4, and some take place on both.
