Unhampered Pack a better picnic basket | By Wendy Ward

Here in the Land of Pleasant Living, enjoying a refreshing legal beverage in the out-of-doors in the "sizzlin'" summertime is not exactly a new idea (see: "stoop sitting"), but doing so at a Licensed Establishment has become, finally, a trend we can all get behind--propelled no doubt by the indoor smoking ban--and we'll take our fresh air any way we can get it, but mostly we'll take it on ice. (Please keep the city's Byzantine licensing of said establishments in mind and check with your server regarding rules about food and drink before hitting the patio.) So check out this list of some of said establishments, and cheers, we'll see you outside.
