This museum is called a living one, because its historic structures are still used--by artisans making objects of wood, glass, and such. Call ahead for an appointment to watch them work, or just stop by to visit the scenic Casselman Bridge, an 1835 log cabin, and the rest of the village. Don't miss the annual Summer Festival and Quilt Show, July 12-14.
McHenry Highland Festival, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. June 1, Garrett County Fairgrounds, McHenry, (800) 387-8300. This annual happening includes dancing and music from that region.
