Old St. Paul's Church, Chestertown, (410) 778-3180, (410) 778-1540. Old St. Paul's is the oldest continuously used church in Maryland. And its cemetery has a famous resident: actress Tallulah Bankhead.
Waterman's Museum, Haven Harbour Marina, 20882 Rock Hall Ave., Rock Hall, (410) 778-6697, donation requested. Just what the name suggests: a museum about life on the water, including exhibits on crabbing, fishing, and oystering, plus a shanty-house reproduction.

Maryland Swim for Life, 6:30 a.m. July 13, Rolph's Wharf, Chestertown, (410) 243-4418. 6:30 in the morning?! Yeah, if you want the free breakfast. Otherwise you can arrive as late as 8:30 a.m. to register, then it's into the water for one to five miles, to benefit HIV/AIDS services.
MS Bike Tour, June 1-2, Washington College, Chestertown, (410) 527-1770. For recreational and serious cyclists alike, this annual bike tour (25 miles for families; 29, 50, 75, or 100 miles for individuals) raises funds for programs helping people with multiple sclerosis. Afterward, there's a party.
