Sheriff John F. Dewitt Museum, 135 E. Main St, Elkton, (410) 398-1790. This museum contains military memorabilia from U.S. wars both long ago (the Revolutionary War) and recent (the Gulf War), both noble (World War II) and not so noble (well, the Gulf War).

Sinking Springs Herb Farm, 234 Blair Shore Road, Elkton, (410) 398-5566. Take a guided garden tour on a historic 130-acre farm.

Mid-Atlantic Chevelle Show, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. June 24-25, North East Community Park, North East, (410) 796-7725. This event is billed as the East Coast's largest gathering of 1964-72 Chevelles and El Caminos. Vroom.

Cecil County Fair, July 21-29, Fair Hill Natural Resources Area, Fair Hill, (410) 658-7350. This agriculture fair also offers entertainment. Not that agriculture isn't entertaining.

Susquehanna River Festival and Crab Feast, Aug. 12, Townwide and Marina Park, Port Deposit, (410) 378-4223. All-you-can-eat crabs, an antiques auctions, live entertainment, and walking tours. And all-you-can-eat crabs.
