ATTRACTIONS

Christ Church, 117 E. Main St., Stevensville, (410) 643-5921. Founded in 1631, this church houses the oldest established congregation in the state.

Train Station Museum, 101 Linden St., Suderville, (410) 438-3501. This train station has been preserved as a museum devoted to railroad history.

Wright's Chance, 119 S. Commerce St., Centreville, (410) 604-2100. Early plantation house was restored by the Queen Anne's County Historical Society and features a collection of Chippendale and Hepplewhite furniture along with Canton china.

Crumpton Garden Tour and Auction, Noon-6 p.m. June 4, Route 290 and Third Street, Crumpton, (410) 928-3860, $3. Take a walking tour of this small town on the banks of the Chester River, and pick up some plants and garden implements at the auction.

Wheat Harvest Fair, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. June 24, Wye Grist Mill, Wye Mills, (410) 822-1910. Traditional music along with pottery, paintings, jewelry, and Colonial and Civil War re-enactments.

Peach Festival, Aug. 5, Kent Fort Farm, Stevensville,(410) 643-1650. Pick peaches and blackberries, or take a hay- or pony-cart ride. Also on tap: a petting zoo, arts and crafts, pit beef, and homemade ice cream.

Tuckahoe State Park, Queen Anne, (410) 820-1668. Several miles of marked trails, a two-mile physical-fitness course, and picnic and camping areas can be found in this state park.

Kent Island Cup Maryland Outrigger Challenge, 1 p.m. Sept. 2-3, (410) 643-1306. Outrigger canoe teams from many states compete in a variety of challenging races in the waters surrounding the grounds of the Kent Island Yacht Club.
