Brannock Maritime Museum, 210 Talbot Ave., Cambridge. A local Dorchester County museum filled with model ships, tools, navigational instruments, ship building records, photographs, and everything else ship related.

Antioch Peach Festival, Aug. 14, Antioch United Methodist Church, (410) 228-4723. Peaches, peach pie, peach cobbler, peach fritters, crab cake sandwiches, peach ice cream, and a couple of other tasty treats that'll get ya droolin'.
Bay Country Festival, July 1-4, Sailwinds Park, (410) 228-7762. Evening festival with carnival, food, games, and live outdoor entertainment. Fireworks anyone?
4th of July Boat Parade, July 4, Choptank River and Cambridge Creek, (410) 228-2142. A parade of boats with patriotic decorations. Nathan of Dorchester will lead the parade along the Choptank River to Cambridge Creek, then on to Great Marsh.
Grand National Fishing Tournament, Aug. 8, Old Salty's Restaurant, Hoopers Island, (410) 228-0111, $5. Fish the tidal waters of the Chesapeake Bay for money prizes, trophies, and door prizes, or just for da fishies.
SPORTS AND RECREATION
Budweiser Cambridge Classic Powerboat Regatta, July 15-23, Hambrooks Bay at Great Marsh Park, (410) 228-7920. It's fast paced racing on the water: American Powerboat Association Sanctioned World Championships of inboard hydroplane and flat-bottom race boats. 12 classes of boats in a world class championship affair. Bring the whole family.
Reduck Golf Tournament and Crab Feast, July 26, Cambridge Country Club, (410) 228-0111, $85 a player, $340 per team, limit of 144 players total. Play some golf and eat some crabs.
Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester Public Sail, Saturdays in July, Long Wharf, Cambridge, (410) 228-7141. A 2-hour sail on the Choptank River aboard a traditional wooden Chesapeake Bay Skipjack. Dredge for oysters, haul the mainsail, and take a turn at the wheel.
