The baby on the cover of Nevermind is starting high school this September, but Baltimore’s oldest coffee spot is still the low-key hangout of choice. And now lazy Sunday afternoons just got cozier, courtesy of Charm Net’s crankin’ wireless signal, which beams newspapers of choice to the laptops of all the contented java junkies hunkering over their tarragon chicken salad and double espresso. If you’re not the sleep-it-off type, Daily Grind also double-duties as a great business meeting place for people who never thought they’d attend business meetings. It’s still well-lit, still Key coffee, still yummy blueberry muffins, and still prime people watching. The tables are still wobbly, too, but no one said paradise would be perfect.
